Amazing double rainbow seen over Springfield MO just after a deadly tornado rips through Joplin.
Thank you God for the pain
that, like rain,
when filtered through sunshine
paints a rainbow
giving life a touch of beauty,
while reminding me of your promise
that you would never again
destroy mankind through a flood.
And that I need to remember
because sometimes
I feel overwhelmed
by floods which threaten
to engulf me and destroy me,
and leave me sore afraid
when my cries for help
seem lost in the storm.
And then behind me
where I couldn't see
I turn and see a rainbow
adding a touch of beauty to my life
and then I see even if
I don't understand
that as rainbows are painted
by raindrops
so faith, hope, and love
are somehow all painted by pain.

iirc - it's not a good sign.
It is worth noting that one of most G-d fearing and pro-Israel parts of the US is in Southwest Missouri, the heart of the Missouri Ozarks. I know this to be the case, for I spent much time in Springfield, Missouri and parts further south in and around Branson, MO. It is an incredibly beautiful part of America to boot. I never made it to Joplin which is kind of off the beaten track and is in Missouri right next to the Kansas/ Oklahoma three state line. Even the church headquartered in Springfield "The Assemblies of G-d" does not have the man god in its name. I am not certain why this part of Missouri was hit except to say that G-d often chastises those who are closest to him. Perhaps they need to do more to stop Obama simply because more is expected of them. For when America gets struck for its wickedness, it will be more than a tornado that kills 100 people as tragic as that is. Three major killer tornado systems, though, since Shabbat HaGadol in the Bible belt is no mere coincidence and requires deeper understanding.
Sorry the previous comment was under my son's google id. We now have two browsers, IE explore and Google Chrome. So this was a mistake.
Life is like a rainbow. You need both the sun and the rain to make its colors appear.
When you have a rainbow deep down in your heart, your smile will shine bright. You know you're a part of that colorful, magical, feeling you'll find, when you have a rainbow inside.
And when it rains on your parade, look up rather than down. Without the rain, there would be no rainbow.
I agree with dov bar that the any rainbow is a warning that the community was worthy of a flood like Noah's, a double rainbow then means you are doubly worthy. Joplin was where my grandma lived. But still I did not know it well enough to speculate what they did that may have deserved such destruction. But I am striving to understand the deeper meaning of the message HaShem is sending to all of us.
